Server 2012 backup

Hi,

I try to use BE 2010 R2 to backup a virtual server 2012, I think it get backup becuse when try to restore the tape see the backup is created but there is a read X on the C drive (server has only on drive) there is no error in the BE logs but I did check the Widows log and came accross this error:

Windows cannot perform an online backup of this system because scoped snapshots are enabled. To resolve this, disable scoped snapshots by creating the following registry value on this computer:
     PATH: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SystemRestore\
     DWORD: ScopeSnapshots
     Value: 0

can I use BE 2010 R2 to backup virtualize server 2012? if yes can I go ahead and create the above registery?
