Tape Drive going offline

Hi Guys,

I could use some help here with backing up to tape. Details as follows;

Tape library: Quantum scalar i40

Tape drive: ultrium LTO 5, FC (But somehow the BE 2012 is considering it as SAS)

Partitioned the slots as one slot per partition.

Now when I try to backup a folder it says the tape drive is offline.

Now I did check for logs on the Tape library, can't find any. Tape drive is showing online on the Quantum.

Am I missing something big here? Guys, need help..

Note: this is our first installation.
