chkdsk /r is not recommended on virtual server.

Hello Team,

I have get update that chkdsk /r is not recommended to perform on virtual server.  Instade of that we should perform chkdsk /f.

I have tried to find the reason for this. but i havn't found any MS article for this.

So will you please tell me why chkdsk /r is not recommended on virtual server.

If anyone have article on this then please provide.
