End marker unreadable and frozen backup

Hi,

I have a backup running for 3 days now. This backup loads a new tape about every 10/12 hours. The last inserted tape was 24 hours ago now ! If I look at the number of bytes copied, it hasnt't change in 9 hours, but the job is still running according to backup exec. I see in backup exec that the tape currently in the drive is in an "End marker unreadable" state. Can this state be the reason why the backup is frozen ?

I would think that it cant. All of my backup jobs are configured to always be written to new tapes. I never mix 2 jobs on a single tape. And I have already seen "End marker unreadable" tapes being overwritten by a backup and the new backup always erased the "End marker unreadable" state.
