sql restore / redirect

trying to restore a db for my users. running SBE 2010 R2 on Server 2008 R2

the sql db original is on the D drive of our sql server. I want to restore an older file for them to the E drive of the same sql server

i keep getting the error that i must choose to overwrite existing db in properties but i dont want to write over anything existing

i want to put the restored file to a different drive on the same sql server

i may just be missing a few key selections or not typing something correct

please help asap!
