Backup Exec 2010 R2 not responding

Backup Exec 2010 R2 hangs after trying to start the application. I suppose my only solution is to restart the BE Services in Windows server. Which BE services need to be restarted and in what sequence? Also can someone send me a link to R3 upgrade, LiveUpdate gives me only option to upgrade to 2012 version. I do also have a full DVD of the BE 2010 R3, when I try to run it, it just gives me an option to instal the R3 version. Can I use it to upgrade my current version of BE? If yes, would that require a Windows Server 2008 R2 reboot at the end of installation? Thx
